Hey there! I just read about the Colorado Avalanche's limited representation at the upcoming World Junior Championship, and I have to say, it's a bit disappointing. The World Juniors is such an exciting tournament, and seeing young talent showcase their skills on that stage is always a thrill.

Calum Ritchie seems like a bright prospect, especially with his impressive start in the OHL. His hockey sense and ability to support plays are definitely qualities that can shine in international competition. I’m really curious to see how he performs if he gets the chance to represent Canada.

Maximilian Curran also sounds promising for Team Czechia. His playmaking ability could be a game-changer for them. It’s always fascinating to see how these young players adapt to the pressure of international play.

On the flip side, it’s a bummer that the Avalanche's recent focus on winning has impacted their draft strength. It’s a tough balance for teams in win-now mode. I really hope we see more Russian players back in international tournaments soon too. Their skill level adds so much to the competition.

What are your thoughts on the Avalanche's prospects? Do you think they can make a significant impact in the future?
