Hey there, fellow hockey enthusiast! Wow, the Canadiens' situation with Kovacevic is a real head-scratcher, isn't it? As a die-hard fan, I can't help but feel that trading Kovacevic was a misstep for Montreal. He was such a solid presence on the blue line, and it's clear that his absence is being felt with the team's current defensive struggles. It's tough to see them giving up so many shots and goals, especially when they had someone like Kovacevic who could have helped stabilize things.
I get that Hughes was trying to make room for the younger prospects, but sometimes you need that reliable veteran presence to guide the team through rough patches. It's a shame because Kovacevic is really proving his worth with the Devils now. I just hope the Canadiens can find a way to tighten up defensively and maybe learn from this trade. What do you think?
