I can't believe they let go of a young talent like Kakko for what seems like a lackluster return. Sure, he hasn't fully blossomed into a star yet, but he's shown flashes of brilliance and has been a solid defensive forward.

The comparison to the Pavel Buchnevich trade is spot on. It feels like the Rangers are repeating past mistakes, and that’s concerning. Borgen might bring some grit, but trading away a player with Kakko's potential for a third-pairing defenseman and a couple of late-round picks just doesn’t add up.
